This round-table discussion of “Focus on China-Africa” aims to promote the further trade and investment between China and African countries. HEC Paris will build a great platform for entrepreneurs in China and Africa to better communicate through a wide range of business visits as well as themed seminars, in the goal to help both Chinese and African executives to learn and exchange opinions on regional business environment, cultural background as well as the investment strategy, in order to prepare both people with the familiarization of local investment blueprint and to prepare the investment and development of enterprises on a local scale.
China is considered by African people as the most important economies in the world and the most important partner of Africa. To establish a closer relationship and cooperation between two countries increases trade and attracts investment from China and technology transfer in order to make better use of Africa's natural and human resources, and promote the economic development in African countries. China and Africa have great economic complementarities, and there is a huge potential of development between the two sides, because 44% of the population of the African continent are less than 15 years of age, which means that there will be a great market for the purchase of Chinese products in Africa. In the future, more and more Chinese investment will come to Africa, the interests of Chinese and African enterprises are therefore so closely linked. In the future cooperation, the “Focus on China-Africa” Short-term Training Program of HEC Paris will be at great service to the relation between enterprises of China and Africa, so that more entrepreneurs from both China and Africa will understand more of the local investment and enterprise development.
This round-table discussion also has the honor to invite representatives from internationally renowned investment banks such as Crédit Agricole, British and Swiss banks. Thank you for their great support.
