Partnership between HEC Paris and the National Museum of Asian Art Guimet, 2010-10-14
Jacques Giès, President of the National Museum of Asian Art Guimet and Bernard Ramanantsoa, Dean of HEC Paris, have signed a three-year partnership agreement, on October 5.
The two institutions have initiated this exclusive partnership to encourage HEC Paris students to experience the arts and traditions of the Asian and Oriental worlds with a new managerial and multicultural perspective. The collaboration involves classes and seminars led by the museum speakers and curators and group work with a focus on the national exhibitions.
HEC Paris has for many years now, established privileged relationships with the Comédie Francaise, the Palace of Versailles, the Louvre, the Quai Branly Museum and the Cité des Sciences.
"We have always known that an understanding of art allows for a better comprehension of society’s evolution”, Bernard Ramanantsoa comments. “This is why I am so pleased to confirm the collaboration between the Guimet Museum and HEC Paris which creates a new way of thinking for our students, professors and researchers.”
Jacques Giès adds that “The ambition of the partnership is to open up the minds of future managers and create a wider understanding of Asia, a powerful and central, yet complex continent.”
