                       Invitation to lecture on “Leadership in a Crisis”

It is our great honor to invite you to a lecture on “leadership in a crisis” hosted by HEC Paris & the NDRC and held on Tuesday 28th July at 19H00 at the Jin Jiang Hotel Shanghai.

During this evening Dr. Brian To, a senior faculty from the NDRC-HEC Paris EMBA, will speak about alternative leadership styles and tactics and will look at the relationship between leadership styles and outcomes in organisations. He will show how an appropriate leadership style is crucial in the type of crisis situation which we face today;

You will have the opportunity to discuss with representatives and alumni of one of the leading Business Schools in the world. HEC Paris alumni will be present as well as officials from the NDRC and other organizations. It will be a excellent opportunity to know some of the HEC network in Shanghai.

Founded in 1881, HEC Paris has been ranked by the Financial Times the No. 1 Business School in Europe since 2006. Since 2006, under the auspices of the Training Center of SASAC, HEC has been successfully running a high level EMBA in Beijing. We have welcomed 3 EMBA classes in Beijing and over 250 high level executives have taken this programme. HEC is now cooperating with the Training Center of the National Development and Reform Commission（NDRC）to deliver its 1st intake of its EMBA program in Shanghai in September, 2009. This opportunity allows executives in China (both Chinese and foreign) to follow an international -standard EMBA without having to leave Shanghai. Profile of the Speaker:
Dr Brian TO
Brian is a graduate of Harvard Business School and John F. Kennedy, with a Masters in Management (MM) and a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) as well as being a graduate of HEC Paris with a Masters in Science. He is also an Alumnus of Stanford Business School, The Wharton School, Berkeley, Dartmouth and INSEAD. In addition, Brian is a graduate of the Heinz School of Public Policy and Management at Carnegie Mellon University with a Masters Degree in Public Management (MPM). Brian also has a Doctorate from Middlesex University, England (D.Univ), is a Senior Fellow at The Wharton School and has taught in the Senior Executive Leadership Program at Oxford University.

With over 25 years of professional experience in private management consultancy for Fortune 500 and venture/growth firms. Strong track record in both strategy formulation and execution, corporate and business development, asset management strategy, business architecture, organization development, design and managing complex change, turnaround management and value creation. He has considerable experience in working closely with family owned enterprises and Major Companies in Asia. Presently
he is completing a Doctorate in Chinese Business and Management.
